Backstory
Neerah grew up alongside Theros in the same orphanage. Around the same age, the two became inseparable — partners in adventure and mischief. Their personalities fit like puzzle pieces, and they spent their days planning pranks on other children and caretakers alike.
Around age twelve, Neerah and Theros began escaping the orphanage at night to explore the village, gradually growing bolder with their escapades. At fourteen, they witnessed a halfling bard’s performance in a tavern, which triggered Theros’s magical awakening. Neerah was perceptive enough to immediately understand that something had changed within him.
As Theros became consumed by his Lute and the study of magic, the two drifted apart. At sixteen, Neerah decided to leave the orphanage and set off on adventures with no clear destination — departing a few months before Theros himself would leave.
Later History
- Became part of Kallum’s adventuring group alongside Ronbok and Krie
- Became a Warlock at some point during her travels
Imprisonment
- Was imprisoned in the Obsidian Prison beneath Shalarag
- Chained to an obsidian pillar with glowing runes syphoning her energy
- When rescued, she had lost her Warlock powers
- Initially felt useless and frustrated, but after Theros confided the truth about his pact with Titania, she regained her spark and is now looking forward to discovering her new talent or power (Session 56)
The Dumglod Copy
- During the Dumglod fight, a version of Neerah died and transformed into a wooden mannequin
- This was actually a copy/doll created by Laudna Briarwood — not the real Neerah
Vestige Ritual Connection
- Theros’s Grimoire Infinitus was awakened via a ritual where he rejected a fantasy life with Neerah, choosing reality over the illusion
