Titania
Titania, the Queen of the Fey Wild, is the Archfey patron of Theros. Her influence over Theros and his family runs deep, and her power has shaped several key artifacts and events in the campaign.
Connection to Theros
Titania first appeared to Theros as a mysterious hooded figure in his dreams, communicating in an unknown language he nonetheless understood. As he grew older, she began appearing during waking hours as well — sitting at a table in a tavern during a performance, leaning against a wall in the street — always vanishing without anyone else noticing.
This figure was Titania, and she became Theros’s Warlock patron (Archfey).
Theros’s Father
Theros’s father, a High Elf known for his combat proficiency with Druidic Magic, eventually became Titania’s champion — and later her thrall. During a secret visit to the Fey Wild, Theros met a druid claiming to be his father, who had become Titania’s champion in order to give Theros life, curing a birth disease.
Theros is expected to become Titania’s next thrall.
The Pact
Theros sold his soul to Titania in exchange for the power to rescue Neerah from the Obsidian Prison. He confided this truth to Neerah during a night watch, revealing the burden he carries silently.
Influence on Artifacts
Grimoire Infinitus
The Grimoire Infinitus, originally belonging to Ariameia, was twisted by Titania’s power. During Theros’s secret visit to the Fey Wild, Titania merged his familiar Hazel with the tome. The Grimoire now serves as Theros’s Book of Shadows (Pact of the Tome), though its behaviour may be unpredictable due to the corruption.
Communion
Theros has communed with Titania on multiple occasions:
- During a vision in Zadash, Titania revealed a disturbance within him. A voice identical to his own told him to follow, and he was attacked by a bear before waking.
- Before the vestige awakening rituals at the mansion, Theros communed with Titania while the others prepared their own rituals.
