Riverworks
A deep, hidden network beneath the dwarven city of Dravenmere, reached only by a malfunctioning service elevator.
Overview
The Riverworks lies deep within the mountain beneath Dravenmere, so far down that a malfunctioning service elevator dropped Snide, Dristuul and Jaruul into it in Session 75. The three emerged unharmed and followed the only path they could find. Whatever lies here appears to be connected to the cryptic clue — a symbol and a path of instructions — found in Peltin’s house.
Events
- In Session 75, the party split up; Snide, Dristuul and Jaruul took a malfunctioning service elevator that carried them deep into the mountain, stopping at the Riverworks. Recalling the path instructions from Peltin’s clue, Dristuul took the lead to find whatever is hidden here.
- In Session 76, Silk revealed herself to Dristuul in the Riverworks to warn him of a Black Senate capture order. The group found an old drainage gate (its hinges dissolved by Dristuul’s acid) and pushed deeper, springing traps until they were ambushed by assassins; they defeated them and captured a mage, who revealed a link to the mysterious symbol and The Cradle. Continuing deeper, Ink scouted ahead into a large cavern and found the party was not alone.
- In Session 77, the party fought through the cavern — Kailas smashing the barricade — and battled The Cradle’s ranged and magic fighters. They killed Peltin, a Cradle member, and found on his body a note bearing the mysterious symbol identifying the kidnapped boy Edrin Halvek. Korin freed Edrin from a chained cell at the back of the cave and gave him food and water.
