Sehanine, known as the Moonweaver, is a Prime Deity of Exandria and the goddess of moonlight, illusion, love, and the night. She is the patron deity of Nyxara, who found her grace in a decrepit temple after being exiled by her people.

Role in the Campaign
Nyxara’s Patron
Nyxara, a Twilight Cleric, found the Moonweaver’s grace in a decrepit temple after being exiled by her Kalashtar kin. The goddess taught her to wield soothing light to keep the shadows of Vathiriss at bay. Nyxara swore an oath under the silver light of the moon:
“As Moonweaver’s light stands against the endless night, so shall I stand against the creeping dark. I will be the dreamer who does not wake in terror. I will be the last bastion against the void.”
Nyxara has sought the Moonweaver’s counsel hoping to find a way to silence the nightmares caused by Vathiriss, the Whispering Hunger of the Dreaming Dark.

A Temple of the Moonweaver exists in Nicodranas, where the party visited during their time in the city. Nyxara knew someone there.

During a period of rest, Nyxara asked the Moonweaver about Kailas, seeking divine insight into her companion.
Lore
The Moonweaver is one of the Prime Deities who fought the Primordials and Betrayer Gods during the Founding to protect the mortal races. She resides primarily in Arborea and the Feywild, though she has occasionally incarnated on Exandria.
She is widely worshipped by halflings and elves, and her followers value freedom, secrecy, and the beauty found in darkness. The moon Catha, the larger of Exandria’s two moons, is associated with her.
