Session 33 - Voyage North and the Ruined Village
- Second day of the voyage aboard The Golden Minnow; Dalaiah missing from the upper deck
- Temperature dropped rapidly as they sailed north. Kailas carved a doorframe (caught by crew).
- Korin asked Vince about the Briarwoods — only knew of an old case from Whitestone
- Dalaiah emerged irritated by Kailas’s carving noise. Dristuul hid in the crow’s nest.
- Arrived at Palebank Village by nightfall. Captain gave them 24 hours.
- Palebank Village was in ruins: frozen graveyard, shattered homes, dense fog
- Theros cast Invisibility on the group to approach
- Reached Moelwyn’s shop “Moelwyn’s Marvelous Mysteries” — oddly untouched, protected by magic
- Inside: two corpses, empty shelves, candles flickering. A massive red-iron maul (Pyremaul) sat in a glass case.
- Found behind an illusory door: healing potions, coins, gems, Crystal Ball, magic materials
- Dristuul disarmed a trap and recovered Whispersting (magical needle)
- Kailas and Korin broke the glass case for Pyremaul; Kailas kept it
- Outside: cold deepened. Two Frostmourns emerged from the fog.
