Session 27 - The Ferryman’s Journey
- The Ferryman took them along a river that flowed upward toward the ceiling. 100ft wooden boat.
- Dristuul tried to speak to The Ferryman — silence. Then his back tattoo came to life: the donkey gained wings and flew while the dragon destroyed everything.
- Korin saw a lifeless city where an ancient lightning elemental bound him in chains while whispers blamed him
- Kailas relived his brother’s death in an endless, bloodier loop
- Jaruul envisioned himself as a mechanical beast over a city before demons destroyed it
- The Ferryman was showing consequences of the memories they’d given him
- Theros tried to read The Ferryman’s mind — found only emptiness. A misplaced Construct from legend.
- Rested in Nyxara’s hut. Jaruul and Kailas kept watch. Shadowy shapes approached. Kailas collapsed asleep. Jaruul dragged him inside.
- After 8 hours: Korin investigated the river — his reflection attacked him. Shadowy figures and tentacles. One vanished underwater; the rest were defeated.
- Light ahead revealed a familiar forest. The Ferryman was now a regular human.
- Arrived in Ixana, headed to the mansion. Sly angrily scolded them for taking too long.
- Inside: Moelwyn lay motionless in arcane hibernation, left arm missing. Ishanah prayed beside him.
- Ishanah explained the rings transform wearers into dragons via Tiamat’s power at the cost of their souls
- The only way to help Moelwyn: find the Tower of Memory hidden within his mind
