Session 25 - The Beholder
- Theros attacked the Beholder from on top of it
- Everyone scrambled to fight; Kailas raged and turned invisible briefly
- The Beholder retreated to the hole, hitting everyone with its eye rays
- Dristuul threw daggers and kept his distance
- The Beholder’s ray put Theros to sleep
- Nyxara distributed temporary HP to everyone
- Some magical attacks stopped working near the Beholder (anti-magic cone)
- Kailas barely survived being hit by Disintegration Ray AND Death Ray simultaneously
- Dristuul ended the fight with a knife through the Beholder’s side
- Aftermath: the Beholder’s skin started changing color
- Jaruul ripped off a tentacle (preserved in whisky and flash-frozen)
- Theros gouged out an eye and jumped into the hole below
- Below: piles of deformed tentacle creatures, alchemy tables, writing on walls
- Dristuul found a floating black stone — touching it gave visions of the past: the place full of living creatures, the Beholder commanding them, and an enormous monster on a throne with thousands of creatures chanting
- Dristuul was thrown back when he tried to understand the chanting
