Raven Queen

The Raven Queen is a deity associated with death and the transition between life and the afterlife. She serves as the patron deity of Dristuul and has communed with him through rituals at key moments in the campaign.

Connection to Dristuul

Dristuul is a devoted follower of the Raven Queen. He communes with her through rituals, though these attempts do not always succeed — on at least one occasion, something blocked his connection to her.

The Trial (Session 39)

During Dristuul’s vestige awakening ritual for the Vermin Shroud, he performed seppuku to initiate the trial. In a dreamscape, he navigated a shadowy city, rooftops, and a hall of mirrors where all reflections were smiling. After passing through a decayed marketplace rigged with bell traps, he was pulled from a pool. A porcelain mask appeared, followed by the Raven Queen herself. She urged him to cherish life and not join her too soon.

Dristuul died during the ritual and was resurrected by the party.

Connection to Aldur

When AldurDristuul’s brother — was resurrected by Nyxara in the Obsidian Prison, a raven’s feather fell onto his chest during the casting. This was interpreted as a sign from the Raven Queen.

Aldur later expressed admiration for the Raven Queen based on Dristuul’s description of her, saying he likes her.
