Red Vale
A district within the city of Drar on the continent of Akothis.
Overview
The Red Vale is one of the districts of Drar. It was mentioned on the Ambercup’s notice board in connection with a missing child — a case that offered no bounty.
Vex, owner of the Coiled Fang, seemed reluctant to discuss the Red Vale with Dristuul, indicating he didn’t want his wife to know about his knowledge of that part of town. This suggests the district may have an unsavoury reputation.
In Session 64, the party caught a glimpse of the district — referred to as the mysterious “Red Veil” — from the city’s center, where all of Drar’s districts converge.
In Session 66, Tvil mentioned the Red Vale as a place to obtain armour lube, pointing the party toward a “very interesting Black ‘Smith’” there — a lead the party has yet to follow.
After Dark
In Session 67, Dristuul visited the Red Vale alone by night and revealed its true character. After sunset the district comes alive: painted lanterns cast a warm, seductive glow, laughter spills from taverns and performance houses, and its patrons are no ordinary commoners but people of power and influence who come to relax and conduct business in the dark. Dristuul knows it well from a past life, keeping a quiet rooftop hideaway there overlooking the main street and the distant glass works — where Silk found him for an intimate reunion. By morning, every business sits closed and the streets fall empty.
