History
Nivali is an elemental who was trapped within crystals beneath Dumglod castle, where it served as the city’s living power source. The party discovered Nivali’s cage after Aldur led them through a secret passage beneath the castle prison.
Using Psychic Whispers, Dristuul communicated with Nivali and found the elemental decidedly hostile. Theros initially attempted to free Nivali with his artifact but failed. During a subsequent battle with Kallum’s group, Theros successfully channeled the Summerstone and captured Nivali within it.
Consequences
With Nivali removed, Dumglod lost its primary energy source. The city fell into severe disarray, with later reports describing pillaging and refugees fleeing the ruins.
