Summary

The fight against Loryn began in earnest. Kailas Fyrn the Goliath’s strategy was simple and effective: just keep hitting Loryn.
Loryn appeared to be draining Ariameia. After separating them, it was clear she had been placed on runes designed to siphon her energy.
During the fight, Loryn kept desperately trying to get close to Ariameia
When near defeat, something took control of Loryn’s body — he transformed into a large demon-looking creature
After a close encounter with death, Dristuul dealt the final blow
The academy president arrived and discovered Ariameia was wearing a ring that forced sleep and mind-control. She had no memory of the last several days.
Kailas Fyrn decapitated the demon for good measure
