Background
Elara Oakhart was a kind woman devoted to her family’s farm and the local temple of Pelor in a village near Nicodranas. She and her husband Marcus raised two children — Faye and Korin — in a peaceful, loving home.
When the unnatural plague (secretly created by Laudna Briarwood) swept through the village, Elara was among the first to fall ill. Despite Marcus’s desperate prayers and remedies, she weakened daily. When the Dwendalian Empire ordered the village destroyed, Marcus refused to leave her side. They died together.
Legacy
Her wedding ring, alongside Marcus’s, now serves as Korin’s sacred spellcasting focus — a conduit for his divine power and a constant reminder of what he lost.
